A leading media platform is looking for a Creative Director who enjoys working in a fast paced environment and loves the challenge of discovering what makes consumers “click”.

As a Creative Director, you will be responsible for leading and directing editorial/marketing graphic and visual design, copy, video, animation, infographic, social media material, photography and promotional assets.

Why this role exists

Our media shows up everywhere – daily journalism, Datalabs reports, social, the website, and a back-to-back calendar of physical summits and IPs. But it doesn't yet show up as one brand. We're hiring a Creative Director to build a single, strong design identity for the company and every IP, across screen and space, and make it look like the authority it is.

This is a build-and-own seat. You set the design language, you raise the craft bar, and you carry it from a social post to a summit stage. The goal isn't prettier assets; it's a brand that's instantly recognisable – the intelligence authority of India's startup economy.

What you'll own

  • The design identity and system: One coherent visual language (type, colour, layout, motion, the look of "the authority") applied across journalism, Datalabs reports, social, the website, decks, and every IP's identity.
  • Flagship campaign and IP creative: Hands-on art direction on the brand film, brand campaigns, and the marquee IPs
  • Physical and experiential design: The on-ground expression of the brand – stage, set, spatial branding, signage, and the look-and-feel of our summits and events.
  • The motion-brand language: Brand motion standards and templates that the video team and designers build within.
  • The design team and bench: A team of designers today, plus a freelance/studio bench you brief and direct.
  • The craft bar: You're the sign-off on how the company looks, everywhere.

Who you are

  • A multi-disciplinary Creative/Design Director: you move fluently across brand identity, editorial/graphic, digital, motion, and crucially physical/experiential design. You're not a single-discipline specialist.
  • Systems-first, not comp-first: you've built a brand identity that scales across dozens of surfaces and stays coherent, not just a beautiful hero deck.
  • You've designed for the real world: you've shaped physical experiences or events, not only screens. (This is the rare requirement.)
  • A player-coach: hands-on on the flagship work, directing the team and freelancers for the rest. You can both make it and lead it.
  • Taste and delivery: art direction that's genuinely strong AND ships at brand-at-scale, on a real calendar.
  • AI-fluent in the design workflow: you use modern (incl. generative) tools as part of how you work, not as a novelty.
  • A creative peer, not a service desk: you bring the ideas and own the creative and the craft; you partner with marketing on strategy and video on production. Strong point of view, zero turf wars.

What you'll need

  • Proven working experience of 8 - 12 years as Art Director/Senior Designer building & managing a team of creatives/designers
  • Skilled communicator with excellent leadership, interpersonal, relationship management skills and keen eye for aesthetics, layout and color combination.
  • Solid experience with logo design, typography, color, web layout design, print production, image selection and package design
  • Proficient use of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator or other visual design and wire-framing tools
  • Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
  • High on creativity and should have the ability to delegate responsibilities & execute team projects within the set timeline.
  • Ability to deliver constructive feedback on projects to the creative team
  • Intuitive critical thinker with a proactive attitude, capable of thinking in and out of the box, generating new design solutions and ideas.
